Eleven-year-old Dezaree is a vivacious young girl who can melt your heart with just one smile.  Her favorite color is red, she loves hanging out with her siblings and her favorite treat is chocolate.  However, Dezaree battles a life-threatening medical condition.  Even though she usually wears a smile on her face, sometimes she feels sick and gets tired of all the doctors and hospital visits. 

When Dezaree found out that she was going to be granted a wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas, she knew exactly what it would be – to go to Walt Disney World!  With her love for all things Disney, it was no surprise where Dezaree wished to go.

Before jetting off to Orlando, Dezaree’s wish granter had a surprise up her sleeve…a grand send off party at McDonald’s (Dezaree’s favorite)!  Dezaree and her family celebrated her wish with food, cake, and tons of presents!

Before she knew it, Dezaree was on a plane to Florida.  Once she arrived at Give Kids the World Village, it was off to the parks for a magical Disney adventure.  Dezaree had so much fun exploring the parks and meeting all the characters.

Dezaree’s wish to go to Walt Disney World was more than just a trip; it was a vacation from the day-to-day life that she has come to know.  It was a relaxing and care-free week for her and her family.  They created memories that will last a lifetime.
