Seventeen-year-old Bryson enjoys listening to Gospel music, watching TV, playing video games and reading. He also loves basketball, in particularly the Dallas Mavericks and traveling. Bryson, however, suffers from a life-threatening medical condition that can get in his way of just being a “normal” teenager.

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas learned of Bryson, they sent two Wish Granters to discover what Bryson’s one true wish would be. Bryson knew that his love for travel and experiencing new things would add up to the perfect wish. Bryson wished to go to Hawaii, because as he said, “I like to enjoy myself and I would love to just go to Hawaii and explore.”

Bryson’s Wish Granters went immediately to work to put together the perfect trip for Bryson and his parents. Before they headed to the island paradise, Bryson’s Wish Granters hosted a party to send him off in style complete with pizza, cake and all sorts of gifts.

Once the family arrived in Hawaii they were greeted with traditional Hawaiian leis. Bryson knew from that moment this was going to be an amazing experience. Once they were settled, Bryson exploration began. He enjoyed the beaches, a scenic helicopter ride, an Alii-Sacred Falls Tour, a day at Wet ‘n’ Wild and a Sunset Dinner Cruise on the ocean. It was a trip of a lifetime for Bryson and his family.

“We had a fabulous time and we’re so thankful for all your efforts in giving families like ours the opportunity to enjoy a week of fun…,” Cynthia, Bryson’s Mom
