Leslie is a beautiful, ten-year-old girl who loves life. She loves the color purple, and enjoys dancing to music by Selena Gomez. When she’s older, she wants to help others by being a nurse! Leslie may suffer from a life-threatening illness, but this did not stop her from having her wish come true! Having always dreamed of going to Hawaii, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas and her Wish Granters made it possible.

Leslie, who loves the ocean and dolphins, had no hesitation in choosing her wish. So she and her family prepared for their special trip to tropical paradise! Not only did Leslie get to experience what sitting in the front of the plane with the Captain was like, but she and her family were also greeted with Hawaiian leis when they arrived in Hawaii. Leslie knew that this trip was going to be an amazing experience!

Leslie was able to experience all that beautiful Hawaii has to offer! She and her family enjoyed swimming with dolphins, building sandcastles on the beach, a Sunset dinner cruise, and even an Atlantis submarine ride! When Leslie was asked what her favorite part was, she stated “swimming with dolphins, and my dad for Father’s Day”. But the she quickly added “I loved everything else too”. She even said that during the dinner cruise, there were dolphins jumping out of the water beside them! Having loved Hawaii so much, her family decided to extend their stay for five more days.

After Leslie shared stories and pictures with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas about her wonderful trip, she was curious to ask one more question, “Can I go back next summer please?” It was truly a trip of a lifetime for Leslie and her family!
