Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a Make-A-Wish volunteer. Please note that in order to be a registered volunteer with the Foundation, applicants must be 21 years of age or over. For those interested in volunteering that do not meet the age requirement - not to worry - we have something for you. Students in K-12 that are interested in volunteering for the Foundation should check out our Kids for Wish Kids program. In college and want to help make wishes come true? Check out our Wishmakers on Campus program.
Volunteer Application Process
- Volunteer application: Please print a copy of the Volunteer Application (requires Acrobat Reader). Complete the application and return the form to our offices via U.S. Mail, attn: Leslie Pinson, Volunteer Manager. If email is easier for you, please send your completed application to Leslie Pinson at lpinson@ntxwish.org.
- Background check: Background checks are REQUIRED for all of our registered volunteers. It is the responsibility of the “potential” volunteer to have the check performed and cover the minimal fee. Please click HERE to complete yours today. We are specifically concerned with any legal history in regard to child abuse or fraud. All information in the volunteer application and background check will remain confidential and be used only for screening purposes.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for the processing of completed applications. An application is considered “complete” when both steps 1 and 2 have been performed. You will be notified by email once your application has been approved and processed. You will also start to receive the monthly volunteer newsletter and the monthly chapter-wide newsletter, so you will be up to date on everything that we have going on.
