Waiting on Wishes
La Pradera Mexican Restaurant hosts Waiting on Wishes, a celebrity waiter’s event to be held on Wednesday, May 15th. Proceeds of the event will be dedicated to granting wishes in Navarro County, and we need your help! There will be a live DJ, local celebrities and community leaders, and wish families serving lunch or a dinner buffet. We will need volunteers to help with greeting customers, waiting tables and other various duties. The event will be in Corsicana, TX. Wish Night® 2013: A Night for Heroes
Calling all Make-A-Wish SUPER Volunteers! Wish Night 2013: A Night for Heroes is coming up on Saturday, May 18th and we are in need of volunteers to help with various gala activities. See below for more specifics and let us know how you would like to get involved!
-Prior to May 18th-
This year, smart Center Dallas has generously agreed to donate a new car to the 17th Annual Wish Night gala. This 2013 Pure Coupe smart Car will be the GRAND PRIZE for our Wish Night raffle!
Raffle tickets will be sold to help raise funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish, which will allow us to grant even more wishes in North Texas! We are looking for volunteers who are interested in putting their charm and sales experience to work by selling raffle tickets! Should you be interested in this opportunity, please contact Tabatha Gonzalez-Olaechea at tolaechea@ntxwish.org for further information. *Note: Due to the nature of the opportunity, we ask that your status currently be an “active” volunteer.

We have various volunteer opportunities throughout the day and night of May 18th. Bilingual Wish Granters NEEDED!
We NEED to increase our number of bilingual Wish Granters! We are seeing an increase in bilingual wish kids while our bilingual Wish Granter numbers have remained flat. What does this mean? Bilingual wish kids may have to wait a while longer until we can find a bilingual Wish Granter to work with them. We want to change that!
Granting a wish is such an amazing volunteer opportunity for all parties involved. Becoming a Wish Granter is easy - all you need to do is apply to become an ‘OFFICIAL’ Make-A-Wish volunteer and attend Wish Granter training. Information on our Volunteer Application process can be found HERE and check the calendar for an upcoming training near you!
We hope you will consider sharing your language skill with our wish kids. We have no doubt you would find the opportunity to be unique and rewarding! As a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish North Texas, G Wear has created custom design G Wear tees in which a portion of all proceeds from online purchases will be donated to help grant North Texas wishes. G Wear tees are made from recycled materials to ensure a better environment for our children now and in the future.
